I've heard good thinks about Vetrofen but has anyone tried Vetroflex and noticed a significant difference?

Do you think its the type of supplement you could do once every 6 months rather than being on it all the time - its very expensive! So just wondering if it would be worth it??

Claims are very grand - by their rational, having them on it even for one course of the supplement should make a difference no??

The new word in joint supplementation, that works without the use of Glucosamine or Chondroitin. Regenerates, strengthens & protects joint cartilage - the number one problem for joints. VetroflexTM aids the repair and maintenance of joints & ligaments. Scientifically formulated to create the right blend of amino acids to mimic cartilage structural components and stimulate collagen production by chondrocytes embedded in the extra-cellular matrix. It works by protecting cartilage and synovial fluid against deterioration whilst stimulating the cartilage cells to produce more collagen and proteoglycans. It has the same amino acid composition as collagen and supplies the amino acids such as glycine and proline, of particular importance for the synthesis of collagen.

I tried it on my boy with ocd in hock - no difference whatsoever. The only joint supplements that actually make any difference for him are superflex (fed at competition rate) and cosequin optimized (fed at maintenance rate) which I feed at the same time. We have tried everything now I think. I think it depends on the horse though - I feed superflex to everything though as that is the one joint supplement that always seems to make a difference but it must be fed at the higher rates. Some of the joint supplements seem to be made up mostly of fillers.
