They are quite a new company, started off at the Mendip Stud. Heather Moffett, Lucinda McAlpine and Laura Collett use their feeds. My neddy is moving yards (in nine days - yikes!) and I want to revamp her feed routine when she moves house. I've been chatting with them over email and they seem to know their stuff... just wondered if any of you guys were using them and if so how your horses are going on their feeds?

thanks!

That's what I thought! I have real trouble with my mare putting on weight on grass livery in summer - they suggest giving her a balancer rather than a bucket of chop. She'll get 500g a day rather than up to 2kg of chop. She gets T/O from about 8am to 5pm, then ad lib hay when she's in, so I like the sound of just giving her a boost of fibre and vitamins and minerals rather than kilos of extra food to wade through.

I think they look really good, I emailed them and they recommended the Pure Working, However there isn't a retailer nere me so I would need to order from them which means the cost per bag with delivery would be £13.45 for 15kg. Now he needs 2kgs a day so a bag would only last around a week. This is quite expensive.

I did my work placement at the mendip stud, i put my mare on it as she had suffered from gastric ulcers and she started gaining weight which she had never done on any other feed before and was a much happier person when riding and competing!!amazing!it's exactly what the horse is supposed to eat naturally, so makes perfect sense to feed it.it not cheap no but you dont need any balancers or faffing around with supplements here there and everywhere, as it's all in the feed so makes up for the cost in the end.
