Anyone using turmeric?

Been using it for a few weeks, my gelding loves it, pepper included. It seems to have helped his snotty sounding nose (previously vet checked with no problems found)

I did have my boy on it for a few weeks and he moved well on it but unfortunately he made him nuts, so I took him off it ! My friend is feeding it to her laid back cob and he is doing just fine, he is more energetic when ridden now!
So I suppose it suits some, but not all.

Got mine on it for sarcoids. Doesn't seem to be doing a lot and I've not given it him for the past few days because he is getting fresh grass and doesn't want his feed. I've also put some in a tub of thuja cream that I had stopped using, and I'm pasting this on the affected sarcoids before he goes out. Seems to be making them angry but not sure if for the better. He is due for another round of Liverpool cream anyway.

It's not changed his personality much, though I detect he may be a bit spookier when being hacked out as he is generally very calm and laid back. He seems to like eating it, but I don't like yellow slobbery kisses all over my clothes when he has finished his tea!

Been using it a few weeks on a "mature" mare with occasional stiffness and clicky stifle. Wow. She has so much more energy so she is obviously feeling good. Downside is the rather explosive wind!!

Hi i use it on two my horses one for my old horse they love it!!! and yes i do see a difference in them, well worth a try and hey its cheap enough to buy in bulk, i get mine from the asian cook shop buy a 1kg lasts ages!!! xxx

I started it a few months ago, with pepper and micronised linseed. She already had micronised linseed. It took a couple of days of small amounts before she didn't notice it anymore. There wasn't any real reason to use it, but at the price I thought why the hell not. My mare is fabulous, full of energy and the headshaking around rape/cow parsley hasn't happened this year. She was forward going, she's now turbo charged. She gets a yellow nose but it can be wiped off easily.

Anyone using it alongside Prascend in a cushingoid horse? I did for my old mare who is stiff through her SI and on Danilon, but can't say it helped. I had to keep up the Danilon (now trying Devils Claw root) and I thought she looked a little depressed - someone I know who is always looking at the science thought it was the piperine in the pepper affecting her.
I do find it difficult to know whether it is not helping or the dose is too low or it is too soon to tell. I have one with DJD and possible early ringbone who still isn't that sound n it, and an itcher who is still itching. Big ex chaser is feeling great on it though - to the detriment of my paddocks when he is hooning around!
