Anyone want a horse to hunt - Somerset Area

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone wanted or knows of someone who would like a horse to hunt during the winter.
I have a 5yr old ISH mare which I purchased two yrs ago for dressage but during the past 12 months she has made it very clear that she has no interest in dressage and would rather be jumping!
I have been trying to sell her but as she has a sarciod I have been struggling. I have had to bring her back home and she will only go out in the field for the winter and it seems a shame if someone was looking for something to hunt.

Whereabouts are you exactly Clare? Would you want her kept with you or could she go and live with whoeve is hunting her? I know quite a few people down there who may be interested so can put the word out.

Thanks for your reply. I am just off of jn22 on m5,
With regard to where she would stay i would prefer if she went to stay with the person who has her although I could keep her here if necessary. She is fully insured and has been in work all year, so apart from some galloping work would be ready to go.

Okay Clare - I'll put the word out to a couple of hunting people in the west Country and see what happens. Don't worry - wouldn't mention it to anyone unless I'd be happy for them to hunt any horse of mine!

Can you tell me how big she is and if she has seen hounds before?

Thanks for that. she is 16.3hh and a good middleweight. She has not been before but i would expect she would settle into it quite quickly. i would be more than happy for someone to try her a few times out hunting while she was still with me as I wouldn't want someone to be left with her all winter if she didn't settle to it. If you want to see her, her ad is still on H&H online under 16.2hh chestnut mare, 5yrs £3500 (gloucestershire area) I think it was put up on 13th Aug.

such a shame your not in my area, i am desprate to find something to hunt, as my old pony is now retired from the hunting field. hope you can find a a gd home

Gosh if my lad doesn't come sound I could be very interested!! But I am keeping everything crossed he does. Will have a think whether I know anyone who may be interested xx
