The stupid dog buggered off this morning when I was doing the horses

. No idea which way he went or where but was starting to panic when I couldn't find him (been gone abotu 20 mins by then) - we are surrounded by fields and very full fast flowing brooks - and there was no sign of him in any direction

. I headed off in the car - no sign towards the village and then turned round to go the other way towards the gamekeppers cottage when the silly sod came sauntering round the corner

.

He was wet and scared

- wouldn't come to me to start with - got him in the car and bought him home. He now has a full tummy and is fast asleep on his bed and appears to be none the worse for his little adventure.

Silly maxi moo! Glad he's home safe and sound.
Thanks for your offer but I could do without another one to add to my mini heart attack rate!

Ah, I know that feeling, just replace 'wet and scared' with 'chest heaving, covered in crap and slightly lame' and you're there!!!!

I lost B for a bit last week and I had that 'catch on my chest' between shouting his name and running full pelt through the woods after him, all day!
And I didn't bloody feed him

Glad he is back safe and sound x

in the event you change your mind I have an extra large jiffy bag for wimpalot...............

All I can think is that he went across the fields and then through the brook to have come out on that part of the lane - was over half a mile away from home.........

Didn't know whether to beat him, kill him or hug him

.......we settled for a hug - although I feel trying to sleep on my bed is taking the p*ss.............

I'll take him!-just don't tell the folks, they might not realise they have two dogs in the house!
Millie did this last week and Ma was all set to find her a new home!

She scaled a 6ft fence at 5am and didn't come home till 8am. Ma was in bits as their house backs onto a railway line and last year her beloved cat was hit by a train lost both legs on the right hand side and still managed to crawl home.

Ma was in bits (well so was Calliecat

ok that was a sick joke) and she was convinced that Millie was a gonna.
Turns out daft dog was next door all the time!
