Owner (not me a man) overhorsed
want £4K no offers inc tack for a quick sale but people will be worried I think??

Im just riding it for him to sell

tell the truth! people are always suspicious, but if you make everything as clear as possible, hopefully they'll take it at genuine face value and let the horse do the talking! (well, you know what i mean!)

I don;t know a huge amount about selling horses, but reading the description I'd assume the reduction in price is due to the horse being turned away for 9 months. If the horse is going nicely then I would imagine someone will snap him up rather than worry about why he's dropped in price.

Well that kind of horse would sell quickly I would assume, BlueNRed where are you based (pm me if you want to) friend is currently horse hunting

He needs work and condition really thats all and he is a baby. Need to emphasise this in ad as i dont want muppets coming who think the can get on and compete him in a month. His canter is still weak and he had only trotted till now!!!!

He is nice though! Wish i had £4K and space for more

Be open about the fact that he needs work. There's plenty of people prepared to put the time into a good horse.

Try to avoid using the word 'stunning', - or any other dramatic words - in the ad: people can be totally turned off by hyperbole.

Present him as he is, readers appreciate that. There's more than enough bad ads around: do a straightforward and fresh one, and yours should stand out

if its the one you posted a pic of a couple of weeks ago, i think he is stunning, so just make sure you have good photos and people should ring your phone off the hook, you can weed out the total muppets on the phone, dont be afraid to say you think he is too green for them, its better to be up front than waste everyones time
