Just 6 more sleeps now til she comes home :D we are SO excited. She has grown even more, got even cuter and is still a monkey!! She gets on me and snuggles....she gets on Simon and totally terrorises him!! bites his ears, neck, chin and runs in circles around his neck and shoulders!!! She is going to be a handfull. I am going to check out Puppy Training classes this week as the one I had put our name down for is too early and hubby can't make it so back to the drawing board....anyway here you go this weeks pictures :D

We just can not wait to bring her home, she is so squidy and cuddly :D I'm just amazed at home much she is changing each week. We are so lucky that we have pics from when she was a week old and each week thereafter, to look back and see how much she's changed is awesome :D

Numpty - she still tastes of chocolate ;)

There will definitely be loads of pics from next Saturday when we bring her home. We can't pick her up til 9.30, I think that hubby will be up at 3am and ready to go!!!

Here is the link to her photobucket pics, there are lots of them but you can see just how much she's changed from week 1 to week 7 :D:D

WHAT??!! poor ickle puppy

I have spoken to the vets and the breeder and we have concluded that it is best for Pickle to have her 1st jab at 9 weeks, a week after we have brought her home. Any sooner and it could be too stressfull for her and the jab may not work, it could also have very detrimental to her tummy!! She will then have her 2nd jab at 11 weeks I think along with her microchip....but this may be 12 weeks, can't remember but will check with the vets at 9 weeks.

I need to check and see if she can be socialised with dogs that I know 100% are vaccinated before her 2nd jab, not sure of that one  not in the park or anything but at work, my boss has 2 vizlas who come into work as well and Pickle will be coming with me on a Friday morning up until Christmas....maybe for good if she behaves!!

I *think* that's OK, or at least that is what I was told when I asked the same question before I took Loki to his first puppy class. I was a little concerned anyway to be honest, I'm a worrier as far as the dog is concerned  But they were pretty strict on seeing proof of 1st vaccination, not sharing water, and it was held indoors with the floor being mopped with anti-bacterial type stuff before hand until everyone had had their 2nd jab.

well thats what I thought but I wasn't sure. I need to double check it before Pickle comes to work with me. She's also going to go with Simon a few days a week and we're going to make her a big litter tray in the back of the van to do her biz in til she's vaccinated fully!!

I alwasy thought they could have their 1st injection 8 weeks + then the 2nd when they were 12 weeks old and they shouldn't be socialised until a further 2 weeks after that. Obviously if you know dogs are 100% vac'd, like when we had our 2nd dog, he was allowed with the dog we already had as she was vac'd

I've just checked my Vets website and they say vaccs can be done from 8 weeks, then again at 10 weeks so with Pickles timings it will be 9 weeks and 11. They do puppy parties and as long as the puppy has had its first vacc at the vets then they can go so I reckon it might be ok?? i will double check though, just not worth risking Pickle in any way shape or form

To whom are you referring *does offended face* :D

I couldn't possibly speculate as to whom that remark may be addressed to....

I can: outrageous!

Well of course not! I'm practically a paragon of virtue, so I am

(smiliey is a bit dodgy but it's the best I could do, ok?! :p)

Looks like he's doing a funeral, that priest!

Yup, we were told OK to socialise with other vaccinated dogs so they had a play with next door's huge GSD.
