I've only been looking for about a week but fed up already, why can't the perfect horse just find me?? Have been trawling for hours!! have e-mailed a few but as yet no replies!!!!! moan moan moan!!

Well there's always peeps on here who like to window shop!! (including me!! like to spend other peoples money!!) what's your budget and what are you after????

It depends what you want really now if you say wanted a 7 year old ISH who was basically a lovely horse and would jump everything he was pointed at but had a tendency to give the odd mahoosive buck when he got excited I know just the man!!

have e-mailed a few but as yet no replies!!!!!

If you are interested then why don't you just ring? I have to be honest with you, having sold two horses in the past few years each time I have been inundated with emails and only one of them has ever been genuine. It used to drive me nuts when I got an email, in much the same way as when people text me!!
Don't get me wrong - i'm not saying you are a timewaster or anything, I just think its easier to discuss a horse over the phone, that way you get a feel for the owner/seller as well.

Are you ready to go and buy or are you just testing the water at the moment?

Right here goes.......about 15hh (or between 14.2 to 15.2) light weight cob type or native. For me and my daughter. No older than 8 or 9 no younger than say 4!! The idea is, my daughter (who is a very tall 9) will continue to have lessons with her instructor on the school ponies for the next few years, but will also ride ours (assisted) in between. I can't go any smaller because I'm 5'5" and she is going to be taller than me (she already looks leggy on a 13.2) so that is why I need to look to the 15 to 15.2 (with me so far????) We need a good alrounder, safe to hack etc but who I can also do the occasional sponsored ride and rc event on!!!! :) I've no ambition to set the world alight just to have fun...so not bothered about any 'prospects' it may have or special bloodlines.....we just want one we can enjoy and offer a loving home to, one that my daughter can grow up with!!! So with all that in mind....:D

I've got a little cracker in, 15.1hh coloured chunky irish 9yo.
It would depend on what level/confidence you are. He is super genuine and not at all strong but does have the odd spooky day here and there that wouldn't suit the most nervous/novice. PM me if you want to know more.

I'm confident, but it would depend on whether he would also be suitable for my daughter in the long run....have you got any pics????

Forgot to mention, have no transport of my own so have been limiting my search to Essex and Suffolk!!!!!

I couldn't tell you without speaking/meeting you. We are S. Oxfordshire so maybe too far for you.
Anyway, if you want to discuss him PM me and I'll give you my number. Yes, I have photos.

You can buy mine! Totally not suitable but that doesn't seem to stop any other advertisers... You want one that doesn't buck? Mine never bucks, you want a chestnut? Mine's a chestnut, you want one with purple mane and tail and sparkly feet? Mine has them. Oh, you want a bay? Actually he is more of a bay really..... :D

Exactly FL I don't want to by flying off half way across the country only to find my potential 15.2 is nearer 13hh!!!!!!

The kind of horse you want is like gold dust. It's basically the same that many thousands of other people want. In all my years, I've only ever come across that kind of horse once or twice and they were never for sale! Sorry to be a damp squib! Good luck though.

we have a 14.2hh 6yo bright bay mare, ridiculously laid back, hasnt done anything except hack but is very good in traffic, loads herself etc, very sweet but were in north devon so too far for you methinks :(

Yep, sounds familiar. I drove 3 hours to see a 15hh Irish cob who turned out to be 16hh ID and nothing like what I had described as what I wanted nor what the seller described as having for sale! So, I ask myself, why is it that 5 years later she is still munching away in my field? You just never know!

Bahahaaa, I get you! My first horse (which I still have) was bought by accident when I went to see a 15.2 chunky 4yo bay gelding by Clover Hill for showjumping, I got there and it had "sold" already so I looked at a 3yo unbroken chestnut gelding by Ballinvella (eventer) who looked like a skinny tb at the time. Admittedly he know looks like the sort of horse I wanted at the time.... Not that I would recommend that kind of thing of course! :D
