Hi there,

I won an axiom rug on ebay recently, i had read on here that they were really good so wasnt overly concerned. Turned up today and im a bit confused. Its supposed to be a waterproof turnout rug but it feels to be very soft fabric (says on label its 100% polyester) and is more like a stable rug.

Have i been sent the wrong rug or is this what these are like??

I'm jealous! I've been hunting for one everywhere! Sounds like a stable rug. Contact the provider and see if they will exchange it. Out of interest, where did you win it? :)

Yeah, thats what i thought but double checked the ad and its the same as in the picture and definately says turnout rug which is why im confused.

Its on ebay.

Ohh I wonder if mine is the same  Mine are still in my car tho from work a few days ago! I need a stable rug too tho lol

It's dark lol

Will have a looksie in the morning! They haven't ventured out of the car yet as they are HW and it aint warm enough for one yet lol

Note to self today was a lot warm then the house was, poor boy got a tad hot in a lw today lol

mine is polyster too! It looks to be a half way house between the material they use for stable rugs and those they use for turnouts lol

how much use is that :D

BTW the ginger beast is naked today... I'm not that mean to put a rug on him again lol :D

A friend of mine has the axiom turnout so went to have a nosey at hers and mine is definately a stable rug. It doesnt have the water proof outer coating things. Have emailed seller and asked for a refund. Had a lot of hassle with it so dont even want to go down the route of trying to replace it from them!!

If it isn't as described and the seller isn't helpful start a dispute with Paypal or ebay.

The Axiom turnout I have looks & feels like any other turnout.

Does your rug match the photo? Always a good start in a dispute.

Yes, it matches the photo. The seller has been helpful with the other (delivery) issues so hopefully there wont be a problem...!! My horses will be turned out 24/7 through the winter so i need a decent rug!

This is the one i bought:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370423858138&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

In their returns policy it says postage is not refundable but as it was £12 i think im going to dispute that as the item is not what i thought i was buying!

I have got their turnout rugs for all of mine - inc Panj. They are very soft. The stable rugs are a very different style. They do not have the shoulder pleat for 1 (Was interested in the rugs till I saw the style)

That is the outdoor rug UnaB, honest... :) (Unless they have changed the style of the stable rugs! :) )

Gonna re open this thread if this is ok.

So who has a turnout rug and how do they find it, Toffee broke her Saxon today and its not worth the money to repair it so was thinking about a axiom of ebay as they are doing free PnP at the moment.

Opinions please. x

I've had several now, for different horses, I've been really pleased with them. The ones I have are the lower denier ones (600D?) so I'm sure the higher denier ones would be even better. They have put their prices up a lot but I will still buy them when I need new rugs.

Two years ago they were selling loads of them with no reserve. I bought my 6.3" stable combo for £12 with £15 postage!!! Theyre now going for £40-£50 :(

I totally agree that theyre fab rugs, theyre so deep barely any of his tummy is showing when you fasten the sircingles!! haha (he's a 21yo TB so needs his comforts and tlc..hehe)

I won an Axiom no fill turnout last week and recieved a 300 fill rug. Emailed them explaining their mistake and they posted the correct rug out the same day (I got it following day) without waiting for me to send original one back - very trusting! They also refunded my postage. I am happy to recommend the Axiom seller. I dont think you will have any problems exchanging it. :)
