Anyone with Dubarrys? How long do they last?

Say, if you were wearing them on the yard, twice a day - in this current weather?

I really want a pair but can't decide if they are worth the money.

I have got through loads of hunters/muck boots/yard boots and admittedly I am hard on shoes so is it worth investing in these or will they fall apart?

I love mine, really warm and comfy but I had mine 6 month before they got holes in the sides (because of the way I walked) and they're no longer waterproof on the foot part.
Get a pair of ariat western boots, much better

PMSL! The day I wear those will be the day I take leave of my senses and get committed to an asylum (or start singing country, which is just as bad...)

Oi oi, Ive got both!!!My Dubs have rubbed a hole in the sides where they sag and they bellow out and rub on the horses sides..theyre over 2 years old.
I love the ariats tho, really want to ride in them more but theyre the slouchy ones so guess problem will happen again.

Mine are three years old now. I've worn them day in day out for all but the very hottest weather. I usually change in to ariats to ride though. They've been fab and don't even smell!
But, this week they have split

across the middle of the sole on the front of the boot, so it looks like it's smiling. I'm gutted.

I've got a pair and my feet do get cold in them but we run a outdoor pursuits centre so I live in mine. Had them two years and they are still going strong.
Not sure if I'd ever replace them as I think they are too expensive for what they are

You see, I would think that made them good value for money

I'm going to need a new pair, but if I've worn them for 300 days a year over three years, at £200 purchase price that's only 22p a wear: makes them look cheap

I've got le Chameau wellies which have hardly been worn, 'cos I've always got the dubarry's on, and I've had a hawthorne through the bottom of them

so that's a waste of 150 quid!

I wore my Dubarrys daily, mucking out, riding, dog walking, shopping and even cleaned up nicely to go for a meal at the pub! I looked after them with Dubarry conditioner but they started leaking recently and as they were just under a year old, I emailed the company who told me to return them and if they had been looked after well, they would replace them. Getting a bit cross now since I returned them and couple of weeks before Christmas and despite a reminder email, I still haven't had an acknowledgement from them to say they'd arrived at the factory! Anyway, I love them and would recommend them 100%!
