Hi. I bought my Horse last year. He's had a Sarcoid treated with Liverpool cream. It was originally a pea sized lump, now it's a 2" sized piece of rough skin.

Anyway, treatment was done a year ago. I've noticed in last 2 weeks that it's changed. It looks like it's scabbing over?? Is this normal?

I'd be surprised if it's only just started scabbing over now a year later. it's more likely the sarcoid is starting up again and may need a further course of treatment.
What happned with ours is the cream was injected in, it went very red and sore looking then healed normally like a cut would. from injection to new skin with hair took around 6 weeks or a little longer.

I had a mare with quite a few sarcoids - the biggest being on her inner thigh. She also had some in her mouth and on the bars . The cream was applied to the external sarcoids and injected into the ones in her mouth. The treatment was carried on with for a few applications, then after about 6-8 weeks the sarcoids "disappeared". The biggest sarcoid left a hole in her leg where the cors of the sarcoid had dropped out. IT soon healed and she never ahd any further sarcoids.

If I were you I would get another course of the treament as it sounds as though the sarcoid is coming back.
