Can't say I am/was the mans biggest fan,I just hate it when people make light of a tragedy or loss (I know SC wasn't really doing that), I dread to think what the text message jokes will be like tomorrow when they start flying around

When i wrote my above post he was simply in hospital and according to news reports very much alive and there was nothing to say he had died and there wasn't for nearly an hour, and as I said it was bad he was in hospital full stop. By the time the news changed to he had died it was far too late for me to edit the above post.
Yes its sad but at the time and context it wasn't IMHO inappropriate, 50 mins later yes it will seem to those that it is especially if you don't look at the time stamp but at the time I wrote it it wasn't.
I don't take any joy or amusement that MJ has died but there had been a running joke (no real bets involved!) that the concerts would never go ahead. Obviously we never foresore this happening and if anything was going to stop the concerts we would have wanted it to be anything but his death.
