Anyones horse had a CT scan (teeth) done at Leahurst or anywhere else? What happens? What do they do that can take up to two hours to prepare them for it? (as Leahurst website says).

Mine had a CT scan about three years ago at Edinburgh vet school in relation to tooth/sinus problems. I don't remember it taking two hours to prepare for it though! When you get there though, they will need to go through quite a lot of details first, but I don't remember it being more than about 45 minutes.

Mine had his done at Edinburgh as well , although it told us many things that where not wrong it did not give us an answer .
He was an inpatient at the time so I was not there for the procedure .

Mine had loads for a sinus problem. As far as I know they just sedate them,I was never kept waiting for that long but he had repeated ct's over a period of several years so they just used to take him off for the scan whilst I updated the vets on how he was doing.
