Moved to yard that has this as part of deal and horse seems to have load more energy/full of his self.

Horse is very sensitive soul and cannot have haylage either due to boucing off walls.

He use to have Hi Fi lite and was fine. Looking at the make up the Alfa A is higher in protein, digestible energy and oil but is having less than half the volume of this as he was having of the hifi lite so should equal the same?

Called Dengie and said if hes having half the volume there should be not difference.

Just wondered if anyone else had any negative , loopy, extra energy scenarios as it might have a secret ingredient. Or whether he's just full of himself for another reason.

thanks

Yes. My two are ok with the non Alfa version but the alfa one has sent them a bit funny. It smells and looks suspiciously sweet and sticky to me...

One of my horses can't tolerate alfalfa, he's very feed sensitive anyway & alfalfa is just one of many things that send him nuts! I've tried differant forms of alfalfa eg different chaffs etc but always same result. Tried Releve for ulcer management but high as a kite on that. The only thing he tolerates it in is spillers conditioning chaff so I assume theres not that much in there.

I have a TBx who goes totally loopy on the smallest amount of alfalfa and I try to keep molasses to a minimum but it's very difficult. Constantly on the look out for something suitable which is easily sourced, sadly he's not keen on fast fibre!
