Took my TBs rug off today to check condition (as i do every other day), her coat is beautiful, really super shiny i think she has lost a bit of weight since the summer but then again so have the fat cobs - part of winter. She is 6yrs and has been living out 24/7 rugged up in an under rug quilt combo and a MW turnout combo, having barley, chaff and sugar-beet, swear its the barley giving her the shine she has hay (almost ad-lib) and has been moved onto winter grazing with a fair bit of grass, she has been turned away since last april/may due to being diagnosed with spinal arthritis, hoping to bring her back into work in the spring (vets recommendation) and seeing how she gets on. Obviously she does lack top-line/muscle but due to the circumstances its very normal for a horse thats been out of work for so long
She won't stay in a stable, goes mental so am seeing how she gets on living out.
