Appealing imported BSJA winnings

I believe that they can come to a show a watch you and assess on what they see. You would have to be appalling to lose the £100 though! Presumably your horse has some points abroad for it to be given winnings of £100?

have you emailed all the foreign people xx if you have and yolu still have £100 on then thats it !! everyone else has the same treatment - or jump amatuers

Assume was an older import so the winnings appear automatically if the are more than 4 or something if it is same as drsg. Don't know about downgradings other than over time though I'm afraid, I know you can get them reassesed for drsg.

Do you know for sure when he was imported? Check his vaccination history, what is the earliest UK date on it - could prove the earliest age he was in the UK.

Also if he is passported overseas you might be able to find out who his breeder was and get them to confirm that he was imported with no winnings.

If you fax/email the relevant foreign associations and get, in writing, proof that your horse is not registered as a competition horse with them you can then send this proof of evidence to the BSJA who may remove the £100 winnings put on your horses card. I did this for one of mine and he was given zero winnings.

It looks to me that the £100 your horse has been given is in accordance with the rules for the importation of a 5 year old horse that was born after 1st June.

Speak to the BSJA they will give you 3 email addresses. One for Germany, Holland and France. You email each country ask if your horse has jumped before and then forward the replies to the BSJA. If your horse has not jumped/got winnings they will then remove the £100 they added. It takes about 3 days.

It's that easy.

If you appeal to the BSJA, they will get the horse assessed by the BSJA judges at a competition.

Also worth email the associations abroad, to see if they've got any records. BSJA will guide you on that too.

Problem is he was jumping 1.20m/1.30m in Holland !

How does that system take into account the 'muppet' on top

As Susan_W is a BSJA judge, and she says it can be done...i'd tend to accept her point on this one...however daft it may sound
