Sorry I know this is wrong section but it'll be seen by more here and I need an answer sooner rather than later! I am applying for a grooms job, which is a complete change from the office non-horsey job i do at present. The ad has been posted on cheshire horse with an email address, I just wondered if I should do an email with my experience etc or put together a horsey experience CV?

You could write a letter/e-mail and attach your CV. Thats what i would do. Hope you hear back from them

I've got several CVs, not that I'm job hunting at the mo cos I like being self employed, but I sometimes send them to prospective clients.

So for each I major on what they are interested in but then add other bits so they can see I am a rounded personality and what other skills I've got.

For example for a farming type job I'd describe my agricultural experience but then add my interest in horses, computer skills and foreign languages.

Even for a groom's job it's worth adding your interests, any office skills etc, may lead to more opportunities with the same employer!

I think they will be suprised to get a good cv! Most of our grooms can barely write! let alone use a computer! lol!

The wife worked with horses on and off for a bit and she says she sent email ie cover letter plus her full CV (non horse related mainly) and detailed her horse experience that was not on the CV in the email
