MereChristmas
riding reluctantly into the sunset
I am often guilty of not realising until much later how much I enjoyed an occasion.
Today I did realise.
Finan was grumpy in the stable.
It’s 5 o’clock he said
You usually ride me at 10 ish in the morning. Where’s my tea?
Oh goodness, I thought, all my apprehensions erupting to the surface.
We’re going to have a bad lesson.
Off we went.
My instructor said Think positive
I tried
I think it worked
Not a trip, not a stumble, more concentration, no peeking at the cantering horse in the next door field,
a more forward walk so less work for me, more trot than last time and we managed figure of 8’s over one pole with a decent bend.
