AquaMax Bedding. Anyone used??

My friend was telling me yesterday about how she has started using Aquamax pellet bedding for her colt. She said it cost her about £35 to set up the bed (bales at approx £5.50 each so 6-7 bales) and that she's only used 1 and half bales since then, in about 11 weeks!!!
Seems a bit too good to be true to me, but am wondering about changing my bedding as my mare gets feather mites and she's a fatty and eats her straw!
Anyone had any experience of Aquamax and can recommend?

yes , it was expensive and rubbish, i use miscanthus wich is great!!

It's great stuff- very economical and easy to use.

Fantastic stuff - would highly recommend! We did used to take the very worst of the wet out though rather than just mixing it in - works best I think if you've got rubber mats down too as unless you put loads and loads in it does tend to look/feel rather thin
