Aquamax bedding

Anyone use aquamax and if so what do you think of it ? YO uses it wants to know if we want to try it so can do a bulk order. She did try and explain how it all works to me and showed me what the stuff is but it just looks weird! I cant get my head around the fact that you mix the wet in with the dry etc.

I've used it for the last yr. It's very absorbent, in the summer it dries itself out which has meant the stable can be dusty.

I used to take out very wet patches & mix the rest, but now I just deep litter. It provides a safe base which protects my girly. The only problem is that the poo ends up falling into tiny pieces as the water is drawn out of it by the bedding. -If your horse moves around alot in the stable this may make you insane.

To overcome this, I used shavings for my banks & then every couple of weeks I spread the shavings over the top of the bed & put new banks up. I'm really pleased with it & it also dries my girlies feathers off in the winter. Lsat winter I put in between 1 & 2 bags a week depending on whether they had been in more due to wet weather.

I use it and have done for the past year. I can't praise it enough. Love it, love it, love it!!
