3. How many bags does it take to make a bed?
4. Do you have to use it with rubber matting?
5. How much does matting for a typical stable cost?
6. How much do you reckon Aquamax costs you a week?

i have used aquamax and it worked out much cheaper than shavings, as you only take the muck out and then mix the wet in, until it goes a brown colour then you remove the dirty bed, (i only stopped using because i moved yARDS and all bedding has to be bought from them), if you go to the aquamax site http://www.aquamax.co.uk/bedding.htm
there are some for sale on ebay i think they are £5.80 a bag
if you use rubber matting 1 or 2 bags is enough depending on how deep you like your bed
ETS you dont need to use rubber matting, when i first started using it i put it straight onto the concrete it took about 10 bags but they were big stables and i topped the bed up onece a week with 1/2 to full bag depending on how dirty they were

They will have it delivered directly to you by the pallet or 1/2 pallet load.

I used to get it from there and it was really good. Unfortunately due to my horses allergies needed to go back to Straw as he tested positive for loads of types of wood.

The people at my yard who carried on using it went for one of the cheaper versions instead and they reckon these don't go as far and are much more dusty so would be more likely to pay the extra for Aquamax in future.

If you do go for it it is worth getting the special fork as it makes it much easier to muck out.
