I know there's loads of posts about pelleted bedding already but a friend got me one bag of Aquamax to try this week as we're considering going over to LWP (mixed with shavings for my two). I added it to the area he normally wees in, soaked it using 1/2-3/4 of my watering can and mixed it with the rest of his bed which was quite damp. Overall I'm quite impressed even with just one bag the last two days it's been much drier than normal as he's a mucky boy.

Anyhow I just wondered if there's any real difference in quality between the LWP and Aquamax which seems to be more expensive?

Also if there's anyone who mixes either LWP or Aquamx with shavings - how many bales of pelleted bedding and shavings do you use to start the bed and what do you add weekly - another pelleted bag or more shavings?

Ta muchly.

I initially had my horse on Aquamax but changed over to Corley biowood pellets (same as LWP) and can see very little difference between the 2 - other than the cost implications!
