NO NO NO!! i had aquamax i would not recomend it. ok it is kind of ok as you dont waste the bedding but its uncomfortable and shavings are much better. it is over priced and if your horse box walks or is messy its a no no. never looks like a nice bed. umm sorry i dont like it but thats my opinion x

Have used it on rubber mats for a number of years, it is brilliant and would never go back to anything else.

What about Hemcore? I am trying a few bales out - a friends horse tried to eat it which was a bit worrying. I like the sound of it though as I find even the best shavings are dusty.

Didn't like Hemcore, it got quite smelly and was slippery. I found the top of their production managers thumb in a bale once. Also used to find alot of stones in the bales.

At my old yard we had to be on aqua max. If your horse is very wet then this is perfect!takes about 5 mins to muck out!You have to have rubber matting though...as your meant to have quite a thin bed-although i had mine nice and thick and worked really well!

I phoned up the company and offered to return it. One of the girld came to collect it and brought me 4 bales for my trouble.

Im using shredded cardboard which is mega cheap (pm for supplier details - they deliver nationwide). I buy 100 bales for £2.85 per bale (plus vat). I use a bale per stable per week (sometimes 2 if theyve been in for some days in the winter). VERY absorbant and lightweight so I can skip out 4 stables into one wheelbarrow. No smell...and doesnt get everywhere either. The farmer loves it and will spread it on his fields no trouble. The delivery men unload and stack for me to which is a bonus!
