Show me your piccies :)

This is my gorgeous girl Ayla, 4 year old, was meant to level out at 14.3hh , on most recent height measurement she`s just topping 16.1hh...oh dear :)
dads a rather rubbish Cremello Arab with terrible conformation, her dam is Tb x hanoverian who was a pretty good jumper so fingers crossed she takes after her mam :)

She's stunning!

I put my IDxTB mare to an arab but unfortunately she didn't 'take' so I'm keeping my eye out for something similar. If you ever want to pass her on........ :D

My arab is in my sig. He's only 15.3 and I'm a long legged 5'8"ish (it's not me riding in that pic!) so I need something fairly tall if there's no width to take my leg up.

Thank you xxxx
a year ago i would have said have her, she was a nightmare, flighty, hard to handle on the ground and total nut job, since i`ve backed her she`s a dream (for now :) )
Yours is lovely, I`m after a grey now, well when i move.15.3 is tidy for an arab, i didnt want Ayla to get much bigger than 14.3 how wrong was i :)

She's stunning, can I have her?

My horse (there are some pics on my profile, he is the bay) is anglo, but most of the time he just looks like a thoroughbred, but he thinks like an arab (too much mainly!) which I like!

Lol'd at 'rather rubbish'! She, however, is lovely, her expression in that ridden pic is adorable :)
Here's my geriatric derivative, Skye. He's only 14.3hh and very pony-looking, lol

A buckskin Arab? Omg, my DREAM horse. She is stunning! You lucky girl.

The chestnut is my anglo-arab mare, the grey is my 2yr old arab filly and the bay is my TB (well I couldn't leave her out completely! :p ).

That's the photo they're promoting him with? LOL!
Skye's 21 in September

it`s prob the best they`ve got :) i`ve searched high and low and i find no more :)
apparently Ayla`s owner only used him as he was on livery at his yard so he got a freebie....but i got something fab :)
people who breed for the colour even if the animal has terrible conformation annoy the hell out of me!

They really are brilliant, though my friends think I just pick them because I like to be the special kid (they pretty much all have big bay warmbloods or TBs) I just love them :) I've had him for ten years

Loving the PBA piccies!

OK, here goes, I've not tried posting a piccie before, hopefully you should see my boy, Khan, at a fun ride and at a show, both about 5/6 years ago, and he's now 18. I've owned him since a yearling, but knew his sire who was 14.3 crabbet/old english type apparently, kinda stocky and the most wonderful horse. His dam was an unreg welsh D. He's semi-retired now as he's had some leg trouble, but we go out once every few weeks, or less in the winter. He's had a few sharers over the years, who’ve all loved him too. As I was very inexperienced when I bought him, I've just been so lucky with his temperament. He's fun, but sensible (mainly!) I can leave him out in the field with his mates for 2 months, pull him in and go for a ride.

This piccie at a fun ride when he got very excited, hence looking a bit warm!

This one at a show, and my first (and only) jump I ever did in the show ring, as I had a fall years ago and completely lost confidence. This was him showing me how easy it is, if only I’d let him do it!

Ain't that the truth! Read the Fugly blog today, she talks about how there should be something on the net where you can colour a picture of your horse sorrel and if he's still goodlooking, then you can breed him

Ooooh, so many lovely horses!

Here's my boy, a cremello PBA being ridden by his sharer. He was my first horse and I've had him for 12 years. He's getting on a bit now, but used to do quite well in riding horse and odd-coloured classes. I love him to bits!

I have a chestnut pure bred arab gelding who I'm backing myself - have sat on him a few times now and we are starting to walk around a bit and gain some confidence. Also have a dun arab cross irish sport horse who is very very pretty. Both are 14.3hh, both lovely!! I love the breed - so cleaver and willing to learn. I hope to do some endurance on my chestnut in the future, and the arab x irish has done a bit of everything and hunted the last three seasons :)

How funny, my horse is out of a hanovarian x tb mare too and by an arab stallion! He's also a big chap too and was advertised to make 15.2 when I bought him and he's now 16.2!!

Your horse is lovely, what a beautiful colour she is :)

This is my boy, Axel

he has a fantastic jump but we mainly do dressage, he's working at medium level now :)

Pharoah.jpg

My arab Pharoah doing what he did best....jumping, being strong and going fast :-D

Best pony in the world. He was 15 yrs old here about 3 months after we got him. and he got faster and faster and more energetic the older he got!

pharoah2.jpg

He was a gorgeous boy :-D

Please ignore the mess.....hosepipes and otherthings trailing around the yard.....they were put away when he was out!
The net curtain was because he suffered from sweetitch and so we used to put it over the top of the door to keep the midges out.....but he could still poke his head out underneath!

Loving all the Arabs and PBA! Here's my beautiful boy HS Hidden Gold aka Gold, I've owned him for a month after searching for a year and a half, he was worth the wait!

I cannot believe comments from Siobhan regarding her mares sire.

Your so called rubbish cremello sire with bad conformation has apparently produced a beautiful mare for you, who you are more than happy with? lol

If my memory serves me correctly he also produced last years Cheshire Show Champion amongst others:D

I am presuming that the people passing comment have seen this lovely old chap and his offspring in the flesh (other than your lovely mare of course Siobhan)

I HAVE! and whilst he is not a young horse or perfect he does produce good correct stock, which - now please tell me if I am missing something here but isn't that exactly what responsible breeders are aiming to achieve? regardless of colour.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating! Take a good look at your lovely mare Siobhan - it takes two to tango.

I have e mailed the stud in question and suggested they check out the comments on this forum.

I rode one like that, but he was 15.3. He was a pure bred arab. Dark brown, absolutely stunning and wouldn't hurt a hair on your head. He didn't have anyone fall off him until he was 21 and he looked so shocked. He loved jumping, but didn't like stopping. The strongest thing in the world. He was safest when a child was leading him around :)

Yay, i love Arab threads, especially with so many photos of lovely araby horses.

rees- The Arab world is full of contention and what some people love, some find completely revolting. That's the way the cookie crumbles, and there's nothing wrong with discussion on the matter. It seems to make up most of the discussion in the Arab world. And people are prefectly entitled to opinions.

Here's my Crabbet share :
9333_140058132635_508967635_2736083_7714638_n.jpg

He lives with 4, soon to be 5 other gorgeous arabs of various shapes, sizes and ages. Can never have too many Arabs :D
