Apart from other things I'm an equestrian artist, and have been commissioned to do a design/picture that includes a Jordanian Arab. Not a specific Jordanian Arab, but a general representation of one. I don't really know a lot about different types of Arab horse - are there any specific differences between them and other types of arab horse that I should be aware of? bigger/smaller head? ears? more dished nose or less? bit more bone? bit less? you get my drift. I've not had a lot of luck researching this online, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

A quick bio of each Jordanian winner is there if you click on the links and there are photos (I'm sure you could find better pics though by googling the horses names and looking back at horses in their pedigrees). The breeding is mentioned and some have old Jordanian lines.

This book which would help is of course very expensive second hand. :(

Just had a look at that website....crikey - they're not really my cup of tea...but thanks for sending me the info, thats going to be really helpful.

They are much more of a 'modern halter' type. The grey mare (foaled 1995) in the list of Jordanian WAHO winners I posted is old Jordanian and Spanish lines IIRC and she's chunkier with a straighter head profile.
