Arab Lovers - Would You Have Bought This Horse

I recently bought the following Arab for £500:

15.2 hh very well bred unbroken 4 year old chestnut Arab gelding. Not suitable for showing as has splint on each front leg. Stunning horse just has these front leg blemishes. He's a lovely big lad, really chuffed with him.

Would you have bought him????????????

He's Cotswold bred by Angelo RE.

Cant remember his dams name but she has a few well known stallions in her bloodlines.

I dont show but have done endurance. Your gelding may be suitable for use as a hack or for fun rides and a bit of riding club stuff. Maybe local shows equitation classes too. Or just a pretty field ornament! I hope you have many happy and fun times together.

My arab that I sold the other month had a splint but it had no affect what so ever and there was nothing visible so yeh

Yeah definitely and for that price! My girl has had her hip rebuilt but I still paid way more than that!

Hi.

Will post pics in a week or so once I get settled at new yard (moving this weekend).

He is a real stunner and what I would call a "big" Arab, moves beautifully and if anyone can find a picture of his father Angelo RE he is just like him down to his white socks and markings on his face.

I'm hoping to turn him into a jumping machine and eventually event him.

He was for sale, so he may have been sold. He was advertised on The Arabian Lines website. He may even have been gelded but I can't remember! I can't get onto Arabian Lines to have a look from this PC.

as he is only 5 you might find the splints disappear or go to next to nothing.
as long as he is sound and does what you want him for then I wouldnt worry about them
