sorry if this is a very stupid question. I don't know whether to clip my gelding or not. He will be out in the day and in and night and he has more rugs than I have room for!
He is already getting quite woolly and I am going to continue to work through the winter - quite fast hacks, 2 hour, through the week and some schooling.
My YO thinks it is a no brainer to clip him but I am just a bit concerned because when he came to me last April he was very thin - ribs sticking out thin - and I wondered whether it was due to the cold. YO says it would be due to bad grazing and she is much more experienced than I am so...
..what is everyone else doing?
