Arab x Warmblood - nice cross? (with pics)

This lovely pink-papered Austrian Warmblood mare has just been booked to my Arab stallion.... just wondering what people think of this cross? Any examples/pics?

I would think your little guy will improve the offspring to being far more attractive. I would expect to see something fairly solid but with more refinement than the mare has.
 
Chestnut foal perhaps? I would have said much the same as Tia.
If I was in the UK, I'd have a lovely little wifelet for Tobago

Hi my mare is an anglo-arab x warmblood. Her mum was the anglo and her father the warmblood. This is her.

Sorry I can't seem to make the images come out any bigger so you probably can't tell what she is like from the tiny jumping shot. I will see if I can upload a better piccie tonight - although I'm still useless with photobucket so they might come out titchy too.

Really don't like her head in the first pic but I think your boy will help that with the foal....he's bloody gorgeous! x
 
A girl I know has an arab x WB and he is the ugliest horse Ive ever seen! However I think both his parents were poor horses thought which wont have helped, and the fact it as a brain the size of an ant.

So I would say it depends on the quality of the parents, I dont really like the mare's head but hopefully your boy can improve that.
 
i take it daddy is pure bred arab? is he egyptian? he is a stunner love arabs! i think the mare is pretty def not ugly! if she has talent its not all about looks anyway! I think together the foalie will be beautiful!

also be very intersested to know if anyone has one seen one as hoping to put my purebred mare to an oldenburg or selle francais next year.
 
Trak's are more TB though not like the mare featured above. Some Trak's also have a fair bit of Arab & AA in their breeding. I would have thought this stallion could improve on the mare, Arab's have a tendency to stamp their mark.
 
My little filly is a Trak x Arab. She is by an arab stallion (Eternal Sky) out of a trakehner mare. I think her father has definitely stamped Evie in her movement, but her mother has stamped her more on her appearance. The arab does appear a lot within Trakehner breeding anyway in order to lighten and refine the breed further.

I really like the cross of the warmblood/arabs and i would definitely buy another!!

No, we bought her as a weanling to keep my other weanling (who incidentally is also Trak) company. Shes been an absolute treasure though and definitely has an old head on young shoulders!!

I have a belgium warmblood and looked up all of his breeding and going back about 70 years he has arab, tb and loads of other breeds in him, the B-Warmblood are a cocktail of so many different breeds that im sure it will be a lovely mix - might be a wee bit of a handful though ! - but with looks like that you can afford to be a bit cheeky !

Horsebetty; your replies are all over the place so not sure who you are actually asking; just to let you know that htobago's stallion is a purebred arab.....if you are talking about someone else's on here then I don't know.
