Anyone out there with an Arab that wears Mark Todd rugs? My boy's Amigo decided it was gonna start leaking overnight and I don't really want to use it again tonight. Have been contemplating trying the Mark Todd Autumner. Any ideas on fits for arabs?? Fred lives out 24/7 so has gotta fit nicely. Up until now I've been using Amigo rugs. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

No, I don't buy MT rugs as I tried a friends one on my grey and even though it was the correct size it was cut far too big around the neck. It suited her Irish cob perfectly though.

Bucas, Horseware, Masta Aztex (have a higher cut neck) and half neck/wugs all fit nicely.

ETA - I have one of these too (GFS) and it is very adjustable on the neck and does go small enough to not gape. :)

I've used the Mark Todd heavyweight stable rugs for years on my arabs, and they fit very well.

I did buy a heavyweight turnout too, and that was a good fit.

MT didn't fit my Arab (15hh crabbit) and I feel they come up small. Horseware rugs (amigo/Rambo) fitted her well as did fal. Weatherbeeta was ok but masta was another no-no

I would normally agree with the Masta rug comment, but the Aztex is cut much better. I took a chance on one in the robinson's sale and it actually fits really nicely and is a good quality rug with a high denier outer. I'm using it on a 3 year old too, who is very narrow at the moment.

Stock photo showing the better cut on the neck.
