Just read this on another forum

Hi just to alert you (not a rumour!): you may already be aware but in case
not:

2 horses stolen from St Albans last week
A farm/yard in Gaddesdon Row was targeted but interrupted last night.

Arabs appear to be the specific target in these thefts/attempted thefts

In the Gaddesdon Row attack a tree was pulled over to block the road and
thefts only stopped as a farmworker passing was suspicious of a parked lorry
and the plates were checked and found to be false.

The yards are marked with tape on trees or markings on the road beforehand.
Sometimes the fence is broken for access beforehand but then patched up to
make it look ok prior to being re-removed the night of the theft.

Please forward to as many people as possible.

Dawn

I know the attempted theft is genuine as I know the lady involved personally.

But I havent been able to get any more details about the alleged 2 actual thefts in St Albans mentioned at the time of the original post (which was by Applechaff and was posted on this! forum on 6 July 08).

If anyone has crime ref no or confirmation of the St Albans theft that would be useful as theres not been any other mentions of it in local press etc?
