My horse has been left with some white scarring from a small sore on her leg, but she's now sound and coming back into work, a small price to pay if it allows me a horse fit to ride.

I've avoided commenting on the arc equine threads (don't want to jinx horses recovery :)) but I will say that my experience of the pads was that they did increasingly cause scabby areas on the legs, I moved them as much as I could but they kind of want to go to the same place on the leg. I ended up using the stud only + gel too.

However, 6 or so weeks after the full treatment, all the scabs have gone and his legs are perfect.

Also, add that said horse managed to lame himself while on box/paddock rest by falling over and sticking his legs under the pen mesh fence while larking about, he was quite sore and I put the arc equine back on the the first program for a few days and he was 100%. Maybe he would have just got better so quickly anyway, but it was really rapid.
