Oh, after a bit of a blip a few weeks ago and him not being done (freezemarker couldn't find the farm), Archie was freezemarked today and he was an absolute star.
I gave him a couple of calmers beforehand and when he was actually being freezemarked I gave him the choice of a haynet or a bucket of feed. He chose the feed and I was there giving him lots of strokes and telling him what a good boy he was and he didn't bat an eyelid.
After about an hour of me faffing him and making him look handsome he was back in the field, squealing with delight - new field, more grass! (Rationed grass at that).
The freezemarker had to hold the irons on longer as it was on his shoulder, which is white, so it will be a bald mark.
I have lost sleep worrying about him being stolen and by having him freezemarked I feel I have lessened the worry and that if he was there would be more likelihood of him being recovered.
