Following my post from yesterday I thought I would update you with what happened today.
Archie was his old self. I went down to the field, took Tia her hay and he led up with not a peep out of the two of them.
I decided to bit him today, something I have not done in almost 3 1/2 years. He took to it with no problem.
Rode past the field and his ears were pricked but I talked to him and he remained calm. Past field and off into the forest. He settled and was playing with the lozenge on his tongue.
Full circle back to yard and I thought he would up his paces. No, just walked back happily to the yard.
Little feed and then walked him down the track back to the field. Tia called him but he remained calm and was perfect.
Put him back in the field, gave them both a carrot and they settled down to eat hay.
I think maybe he takes the p out of other riders, maybe? He was a pleasure to be around, as he is 99.9% of the time.
Came back home on a bit of a high after a sleepless night thinking my horse had turned into a demonic monster.
