I've been going through some old photos for a family tree and came across a cracking chap that I thought I would share as I love the image

Superb! I love seeing these old photo's. In the Welsh Pony & Cob mag last week they had a few great photo's under the title 'Walking Welsh Stallions' - fascinating. I would love to find that in my family tree.

The first image would be dated around the 1920's - 1930's he was a farm horse I've others where he is pulling various machinery but was I believe also hunted. Breed I have no specifics but at a guess percheron? The gentleman in the photo was tall so he must have been a good size

This is another of the horses again had to be dual purpose both farm horse and ridden. Don't you just love the fact that she's still wearing her dress can just imagine she's finished the washing up and fancied a ride. No hat, boots or jods that we would be wearing today.
