My husband claims to have only just realised that my horse's full livery is £260 per month, PER HORSE!!!! For some reason he thought it was £260 for both (oh, if only). Well, I suppose we've only been at the yard for 3 years......

I must say i don't enlighten my husband more than necessary. He has a vague idea of the weekly livery bill, but doesn't really know about all the add ons. I pay for it all out of my wages.

How much is it to supply & fit an alternator to a Mitsubishi Pajero coupled with a full service?......Don't you know?....... does that make you dim?

Wouldn't imagine this would be a monthly transaction, but I'm sure I could find out if necessary!!
PS - I have to arrange all the car repairs too!

I pay the livery by standing order, one from our joint account (later repaid by loaner) and one from my own account, so hubbie doesn't actually pay anything towards it. It just amused me that three years of monthly livery bills have gone unobserved by him!!!

MY OH isn't dim but can't say anything as in the great scheme of things my horse(s) don't cost as much as his offspring, and I'm not having any of those, ha ha!

Well my horse is at home so I don't really have any costs to hide as it were! But my OH is not dim in fact he is wonderful! He moved 80 bales of hay for me the other week and we have just bought and moved 70 more!!! What a star!

LOL I wish my hubby was that dim! He looks through our bank account with a fine tooth comb asking me why I took X amount out etc.
I've stopped paying for things with my card now, I just get out cash then I can do what I like and he doesn't know!

BTW I don't work so he does have a right to know what i'm spending all his hard earned cash on!

wish my OH was dim, he notices every new item i buy, new shoes/boots, jackets etc., which on one level is nice of him, but i can never do 'oh, this old thing'...
