No offence to the eventers but you already seem to be out and about on grass! You guys have probably already lost a few studs and been stood on with a studded hoof too...
I love jumping outdoors but have not been out on grass yet this year so a little dubious of the gingers attitude when we hit turf..she has a bit of 'the girl with a curl in the middle of her forehead' mindset so

I have Vicarage, Felbridge, Pachesham, Patchetts, Royal Leisure, Windsor Park, maybe Blew-cant spell it-ry(!) hmm..where else do I jump..Sands Farm..lots of places! Not been Yateley before so interested in what it is like there. Am sure there are even more places that I jump! MWood is jinxed for me I look forward when their indoor season finishes

Shame you are jinxed with Merrist, we loooovvvveee it- my gelding enjoys the surface - he finds Sands too deep and I find it too tight!....not been anywhere else - oh have been to wellington last november time and got a double clear at disc and 4 in the open. Am thinkin of going to pachesham on easter monday - classes i want are in ring 2 on a surface. Heard its nice there. I need to pluck up courage and take my mad mare out....one day soon! Might try Yateley soon as well and do a bit of grass!!

Have not been to Wellington yet- is it nice? You are near Crofton? I wont jump indoors at Sands anymore but hopefully they will put on an outdoor schedule this summer. Its nice to have favourite places to go to but sometimes its worth it to drive a little further to see whats out there. Pac is lovely. I go to mw to school and we are fine but any horse I find competitively there I mess up haha

Wellington was okay - car park was a real mess, very very muddy. My boy found the birds in the school spooky - we approached jump 1 to suddenly see a load of blue tits fly towards us!! I am near MWood - based just outside Guildford. Not done Crofton or the other one down south yet. Used to do Medstead Grange - well in fact was based at the livery there for some time which helped as had no travel but it was normal for my horse and he didnt get the buzz that he gets when he goes somewhere new. Didnt like Sands - just general feel of the place, warm up was frankly dangerous - one person fell off three times and kept raising the whip which i didnt like. Feeling excited for Pachesham. I went to MWood with my mare a few months back and rode like a prat - was only schooling but people came into watch and i was soooo embarrased. She was just being a ratbag and needed working through it but i froze and rode like a rag doll. BTW - if you know of any second hand stuff in the area I am on the look out - stables, tack, hay store, walker etc. Just buying a place with 9 acres and gunna have a yard at home!!!! Yiippppeee

Cool, will give it a go, heh best of luck with the season and I hope your luck turns at MWood - would be good to see you there!!
