Are any of the cheaper alternatives to a thermatex rug as good!??

Iv just bought one from ruggles for my tb and I'm really pleased with it! I prefer the chest fastenings too on it. Put it on him last night and it wicked well!

I have had Thermatex rugs since 1987 and they are still in use now so for a long lasting excellent rug I would always choose them. Worth the money every time.

I have a thermatex - used it on 2 horses up to now and its still in fab condition despite it being an easy 15 - 20 years old.

Here it is on my sadly no longer-with-us horse,: prob about 1995 ish..........

I have a Thermatex T2000 & a Weatherbeeta Thermocell with integral neck(not the fleece or wick-dry ones). They are both brill and couldn't really pick the best between them, except Weatherbeeta has the neck,so gets used first in colder weather(can always turn neck down tho). Weatherbeeta also doesn't seem to have stretched like the Thermatex(I got a size down in Thermatex but correct size in Wbeeta-both wash well & still fit fine).

No, there are no cheaper alternatives that are AS good, that is why thermatex can charge so much for them, because they are bloody fantastic. :)
