Fly is a jealous horse. Thats it, he is. When I try and spend a few minutes with my youngster he protests. He immediately head swings, he cribs, he bites. HE'S CROSS. Thats ok, he is my number one. BUT, what will happen when my youngster comes into work next spring? How do i handle it? Advice PLEASE! xx

YES!

Beau chases off any horse that comes near me in the field!

If you find an answer let me know LOL!

Yes, definately jealous. My girls are like that, but they only go as far as pushing the others out of the way, which may involve biting the other. However, when one is caught to work, the others are quite happy to go away and laugh!

Yes, I have 2 jealous mares. Each thinks she's my number one. In the field, they fight (only if I'm there) but at the moment I've got them stabled next to each other and they're studiously ignoring each other. Don't have an answer - they get equal attention from me.

Yes Yes Yes. My horse will chase away any horse that comes near me or my daughter

. He hates my daughters little pony and the feeling is mutal. If i'm in her stable he throws his rug, headcollar or anything else he can find on the floor and if I'm in his stable she paws the ground.

Its a nightmare, they are worse than my two children

Merlin doesnt like the other pony in the field getting any cuddles, but he isnt mean, he just pushes between us and gives me a hug.....

Works in a good way too, at the last yard there was a very very cuddly pony who would groom you back. I used to stand and cuddle her and very quickly merlin learnt to copy her and cuddle me in the same way...... have to be careful he doesnt get too rough in the mutual grooming sessions though!!!
