Im considering selling my mare. As amazing as she is, i dont think she is the horse for me, i like mine senstive, she has huge attitude (in a good way) but she want to be out competing with someone far more experienced than me i feel. I just dont get that feeling for her, and she was only meant to be a project horse to buy and sell anyway! i have been schooling and this has come on very well and were now going to start doing some small fences etc. She has been out and about. I know this is the wrong time of year and i may have to wait. Im not going to give her away, she has amazing potential but i dont want silly money for her either. When i advertised her last year i had a few pointless phonecalls and one viewing which was a complete waste of time!! I remember selling my little pony and he was gone in 2 weeks! that was 5 years ago!

The good ones are :) I bought my new one two weeks ago, for a rather healthy price. In theory I should have waited till next year, but when I saw his advert he just sounded too perfect resist. Turns out he really is that perfect, so I'm very glad I made the call :D

We are buying a pony at the minute and have been looking a while,it seems that not much is shifting.I've rung up to enquire, found they aren't suitable and then had the owner ring me back to plead with me to go and try them. Also been checking the Pony Club website and a lot of them have been up for sale for months.A pony we had on trial in May,but was too sharp has been reduced from £1250 to £650 and still not sold.I suppose at the right price anything will sell, but prices seem to be dropping by roughly £100 a month from my observations.

As Puppy said-good horses who are worth the money are selling and without problems. Lots of dealers, trainers, producers in my area are still selling horses past the £10,000 mark and get plenty of viewings a week. Unfortunately though for the 'average' horse (as in can do a bit of everything at a fair level) there are too many of them and the price of some is a lot less than the price of others. Doesn't mean the more expensive one isn't worth the money, just people have picked up the same for a lot less already. It is a buyers market at the moment but it is meant to pick up around spring/summer of next year
