i seem not to have a social life

im either always at work, with horses... and im then too tired to do anything
or when im not at work im with my pony

i dont seem to do anything else :s

and if i do anything with friends, its normally at competitions

what about everyone else?
do horses take up your whole life and you not have time for anything else???

pretty much,although i do have to fit in 2 children a husband job and 2 dogs,they take up alot of time money and physical and emotional energy.
dont know what i would do without them and my life now with my 3 is everything ive ever wanted.
 
Mine are......have no social life at all! However, if I really wanted to find time for everything, with a little organisation it would be possible.

I started seeing a guy not so long ago, and was able to make time for everything. However, when it was apparent that there was no real spark between us, I called it a day. Wasn't because of being too busy, but if I am going to sacrifice time with the horses, it would have to be for someone special!

I do make the effort to improve my social life when the opportunity arises though!

horses are what split me and my ex up :P

i try to make the effort, but im always shattered :S and having just left a school that i didnt like being at and really didnt have the best of times with friends... i dont really have many friends i like being with, except horsey ones, but the ones at work are all older, but act young :/ :P
 
my horse was my life up until he suddenly died 3 weeks ago - now i have nothing to fill my time with i either am moping or staring into space. i cant afford another until some stuff sells and i am in a very bad miserable state- sorry thats not ment to bring people down at all but ther is a huge empty void where he used to be xxx

So sorry to hear of your loss. This is the problem when we allow them to become such a huge part of our lives. They leave such an enormous gap. Hope you feel better soon x.
 
yep same here !!
I'm either working to pay for the neddy or spending time and money on the neddy.
social life went out the window ages ago.
and yes my last b/f got in the way of the horses so he was dumped amicably but he knew it was between him and the horse LOL.
 
Doug is everything. When he went away for a couple of weeks I didnt know what to do with myself! Now he is back I spend literally every hour with him, and dont really care about my social life

I go through phases with mine - they are a huge part of my life but equally I try to make time to have a social life as well - it may mean I don't meet my friends til later, or the boys just got thrown it with a cursory flick of a brush and toe check, but it means that I have a balance.

Though I do have times when I just see my horses, and whilst I am happy I am conscious that I need a life outside the boys too!!
 
Yes! Love husband but its my ponies that have got me throught the darkest hours with MS

No, I would honestly say not. A great big piece of the pie, but not all of it. I have a nice hubby, run my own business, have three dogs, compete in dog grooming competitions, sometimes. I spend a huge chunk of time with my horse and a bit of money there, too and as much as I love her and that as my hobby, it's not "everything" to me. I don't do social life a whole lot, I'm just too knackered after all the above...but I do try...sometimes.

I love them, and can't really see my life without them as I would go mad.

But are they everything to me? No, not at all. They are just animals at the end of the day, I have friends, a boyfriend and other things to be doing.
I don't have my own horse atm so maybe that's different, but I have instructed by boyfriend that if I ever turn into one of those people who only seems to have time for the horse to slap me.
