I bought a bit off ebay a 6" hanging cheek french link on the 4th of august. So i emailed seller to say that i still hadn't received it and was really needing it no answer. So e-mailed yesterday again saying that She hadn't responded to my e-mail about my item.

So any ways she said she had sent it out a wee while ago and that i should of received it it was sent recorded delivery. But if i wanted a full refund she would give me it i said well wait until tomorrow being today to see if it arrives but still nothing.

I said that i sold a bit on ebay on the 5th of august and posted it out on tuesday and the person received it on wednesday.

I do believe there is some sort of postage strike going on or some thing.

she is in Orsett, Essex and i was wondering if anybody else's post was disrupted?

My other post seams to be getting to me fine enough.

I run an ecommerce shop and the post hasn't been brilliant this summer aside from the strikes.
I would suggest ask the seller for the recorded number, check the number on www.royalmail.com (it'll say if it's held at your sorting office if say you were out)
and also ring your sorting office and ask them if they have it quoting the recorded delivery number. The strikes seem to have mainly affected main cities eg London, Bristol Glasgow

All too often things turn up - I think this is because the postie puts a red elastic band round everyones post and if most of the post is A5, the elastic band causes it all to curkl up, and the (smaller) card the postie has carefully written out when at the depot where he's left the parcel (as you're always out at work when he comes) then drops to the bottom of his postal bag and consequently you're none the wiser as to the parcel's existence.

Just had a look on RM website for one of my customers who hasn't had stuff, and it seems there are still problems in Essex. Now she may have posted it a bit later than she'd like you to think...say last Thursday/Friday/Saturday or even this week in which case they were possibly on strike in her area.

I'd get the Recorded number off her and ring your sorting office and see if its there.

I sent a small box from Weston-s-Mare to Leytonstone (North East London, on the Essex border) a week last Wednesday, and it arrived yesterday

Stuff from my office in Staffs, has reached me the next day, so I think the London area has problems.

I sent some DNA samples for sequencing last Thursday from Surrey to London and they didn't get them until Wednesday, so I think London is being its usual efficient self!

If she sent it recorded, she should have a trackable number.

It has taken a saddle posted from Edinburgh on the 48 hour service on friday (7/8) almost a week to get here to Hertfordshire ( the bit closest to london!). I was driving the poor sender to distraction!
