Hiya, I've got a Bates saddle I'm looking to sell as it doesn't fit our youngster. Are secondhand saddles selling at the moment? Do you think ebay will be the best bet? I've seen some on their and there doesn't seem to be much interest on Ebay at the moment? I don't know where else would be best?

The right saddles at the right price are selling.
I sold my Albion SLK Ultima on Ebay last week at my buy it now price. If you're relalistic on what you want for it & it's in good condition it'll sell.

Bates Caprilli GP 17.5in brown, and also got a Bates Caprilli VSD 17.5in brown.

I want to sell them both and then get a dressage saddle to share between my two and then look at a jumping saddle each.

Perhaps I'll give Ebay a try and see what happens?!

i have an almost brand new Wintec close contact saddle with CAIR for sale - i paid £350 for it and have only ridden in it once....
I tried to sell it for £240 on ebay, but nothing.... i thought it was a bargain!!

I might give Ebay a go first I think? I was thinking about selling it in my local saddlery, but then I'd have to buy another one before I sold, and really didn't want to do this?!! mmmm

I've just put two saddles on ebay yesterday although no bids there are plenty of people watching so fingers crossed they sell i dont think they are expensive but everyone wants something for nowt these days

I've had three on eBay recently. I started them all at the price Saddles Direct would give me. Two sold for quite a bit more than SD would pay and the third didn't sell so will be going to SD.

How much are you asking for them?

I haven't advertised them yet, but on saddles direct, she has a vsd bates on there which doesn't look as in good condition as mine for £525, so I was thinking £475?

I've advertised 4, a kieffer which ended up with a waiting list, a black albion kontrol in fab condition mw 17 1/2 for £400, had a timewaster and lost other interested people, a brown albion legend dressage in good condition apart from one strap (chewed at bottom, but sound) for £325, same timewaster and a baines dressage black mw 17/ 12 with flair, scruffy but sound for £200.

I'm probably going to keep the albions and stick the baines on ebay.

I realise this isn't in the same league but 1 have advertised a 15" synthetic on e-bay for £50 and it hasn't sold dispite copious watchers and it is been relisted twice!..... problem is that I need to sell this to get the pony a saddle that actually fits and to justify why I want a wintec "jumping" saddle

yeh, same here, I need to sell too before I can buy! Think I might get some pics and get them on ebay! See what happens first of all!
