Can anyone tell me? They are the Velcro straps that attach the stirrup iron to the girth in order to keep the lower leg from swinging about?

many thanks

''Stirrup leathers and irons are compulsory and must be
attached to the saddle and used in the conventional way.''

Don't think they're legal

Reading the way that's written I do wonder what scheme people have come up with. It reminds me of the rule at my husband's work "Ties must be worn" and they were - as head bands, belts, scarves . . .

didnt think they were, ******!!! they seem to be the only thing stopping my lower leg flapping about! thanks folks for taking the time to look. x

Kind of cheating really if you use something to keep your legs in the correct position... Fine when schooling at home, but I really cannot see these EVER being allowed in competition.

i agree - it is a bit on the 'cheating' side! i was just living in hope!!!! Actually i could do with being tied down and in place in every part of my body!! LOL Imagine going into the dressage arena like that!!!
