Does anyone know if there are any Saddlery's, or online equestrian shops who do a wedding gift list service, similar to the John Lewis service.

We've been living together for a few years and have everything 'domestic' already, and if i get another ornament, piece of linen or crockery, or even household electrical items, i'll scream

- and I have no room for more house stuff anyway!
I have friends who have requested no presents at their wedding, but then they ended up with tonnes of rubbishy token gifts, which they didnt need or want and had nowhere to put all of it, so I thought I'd much rather show my guests what sort of things would be appreciated by us!

theres the odd wedding gift site that you can choose what you want from any shops and they compile and manage a list for you for a small fee - means you can get anything from anywhere... that would work if you didn't find a saddler that will do it...

When a 'mature' friend married last year she asked for Thomas Cook vouchers to spend on holidays. Surely a saddler would let people buy you gift vouchers or possibly set up a wedding list service for you especially in a recession. They will be glad of the business.

i dont see why any good saddler wouldnt do that for you, make some proper money out of a wedding list

is a good idea though, some freinds are in the same situation and theyve compiled their own list with things like sails for their boat etc.
