My 13 year old is quiet, hardworking, a very good little horse owner and rider and she is never unsupervised by me but I am having real trouble trying to find her a livery yard in Essex where she has a few other youngsters for her to relate to.
Although I understand the concerns, I am increasingly frustrated by some of the attitudes towards younger horse owners and have noticed almost every livery yard is adult only. Our current yard is lovely but it is all adults. She takes her riding seriously and isnt interested in messing around - she is merely lonely .. Does anyone know of any child friendly DIY livery yards in Essex. We live in Galleywood but I dont mind travelling some way if there are decent facilities.

I have trawled Ingatestone saddlery and Essex Rider but they cater for adults really, I would therefore be very grateful for any pointers or ideas. Its a tricky one, I know. Thanks

shame your not near us! We're in colchester and have a few youngsters on the yard with their ponies :) You looked in Absolute horse for ideas? Maybe some riding schools have spaces for liveries?
