You all probably think I'm a complete twonk for posting this but I'm useless with boots!

Bought Ethel some brushing boots and overreach boots the other day, the front brushing and OR boots look too big to me ..

I'm also an idiot for buying front boots for her hind legs :o They seemed to fit though :p

If anyone knows where I can buy the Shires Neoprene Brushing Boots for hinds, let me know as I can only find fronts and on the internet there isnt an option for fronts or hinds :)

ETA Sorry pics are huge!!

Front ones are definately too big! Back ones are bigger than what I have on my lot, but I have no idea if my back ones are right, or if they should be longer, I just tend to re-use what I have :o

In the first pic, it looks like the boot on the right of the pic is bigger than the other? I'd say they look ok but the smaller boot fits better, over reachers and hinds look ok to me too. But I'm usually a bandage type person. Hope that helps a little. x

Okiedoke, back to the shop the brushing boots definately go! I didnt wnt them in black anyway, just the shop didnt have purple and I'm far too impatient to have waited for them to be ordered :p

Ilovefoals - she had one leg further forward than the other which makes one look bigger, I'm pretty sure they're the same size :)

The over-reach boots look fine. :) I agree that the front brushing boots are too big, you might get away with the hind ones though.

I did find that my 15.3hh (on her tippy toes) anglo-arab mare needed pony sized Shires BB on her front legs and cob size on her hinds. I didn't think that they had specific front and hind styles as they were budget boots.

Thanks Faracat :) I have rang the shop I bought them from and they have ordered me two purple pairs in pony size :) If the pony ones are too small behind then I'll have to get cob ones again just for hinds. Ethel is a 15.2hh TB, so has legs like twigs that are surprisingly short. These are her first boots so wasnt sure what size to get her so just went for the middle :p the overreach boots are a medium :)
I thought there were seperate front and hind boots as in the pictures the boots on the hind legs seem to have a slightly different strike pad shape and three straps, but heyho, as long as they do the job who cares :D
