Are we silly/soppy to be keeping her ?

Have finally decided after 4 years that me and her just do not click. We've not improved in the past 6 months now and i'm going to concentrate on Blue.

But we're not that bothered about selling her cos she has such a lovely nature and is soooo sweet!

Is that really silly?!

I only manage to ride her once maybe twice a week now. Though i'm sure she loves being lazy!

I don't think you're silly not wanting to sell her. And I'm sure she couldn't care either way if she's ridden or not.

How about finding someone to loan her from home though???

course not, as long as she is happy flopping around doing nothing. At least you know shes in a good home.

if she does start to get fed up then perhaps you could get someone in to loan her? obviously to stay at yours.

Would be nice if she had a rider really! She's not brilliantly schooled though (as we don't get on that well and i'm no dressage rider)!

Have asked one of my friends if she wants to, am waiting for her to get back to me at the moment.

I agree, I think a loaner or someone that can give her regular 1:1 attention and exercise would be great for her....

If she's happy and you can afford to keep her, then why not? She won't care if she's not ridden, I'm sure. On the other hand, as is mentioned above, it might be nice for her to have some 1:1 attention and exercise. If you could find a nice sharer, then it would work out well all round. But I think you are to be commended for keeping a horse that isn't ideal in a lovely, caring home - not many people would.

Well rode her last night (first time this week!) and my friend is coming to ride Holly on Sunday to see how they get on!

If they click she'll probably come to ride her 3 times a week.

Also was speaking with the 2 liveries we've got and one of them said they'd like to ride her sometimes too
