Further to my post about winter rugs, I have seen a reasonably priced high neck weatherbeeta turnout rug, 1200D and 220g of fill are these any good? Will probably get a fleecy rug that I can put under it if necessary.

I have the Arion combo - fantastic rug, selling my Rambo Wug as prefer my Weatherbeeta one ! I also have the LW and stable rugs and I really like Weatherbeeta - good value for money.

I'm a horseware girl through and through but I bought a weatherbeeta for Pidge last winter as he needed a 7'3" rug and I'm really pleased with it, it fits him really well and he's well covered all over

I bought a weatherbeeta when my horse needed something a bit more light weight and it has been great - really stops the rain getting in and keeps her warm/dry. And this is without a neck cover. It is also appears quite well made - has stood up to her mad escapades round the field as she tarts at every gelding she can see. I'm thinking of buying another on equestrian clearance because they have a good deal atm and I could do with a spare. However I don't have a heavy weight version and am thinking of buying the rambo duo shortly just because of the options available with that rug.

Edited: to spell words correclt!

i am a great fan of rambo, rhino and weatherbeater. My last two have been weatherbeater one of which is three years old and comes up good as new every year. However i would say that if you are going for a full neck be warned. One of my horses is TB x and fine, they fit her like a dream, our other is a heavyweight show cob and i find that the fit is not generous enough on the neck. other than this i have nothing negative to say about them. They are durable, warm, breathable, waterproof. Very good value for money.

I used to love the weatherbeetas, great value for money and great fit 2!!I still hav a medium weight that i couldnt tell ya how old it is,lol, still waterproof etc!!I had to change to something more resilient thow due to my boy being turned out with another that did nothing but bite, went to the rambos, however now i have moved him(yipee, lmao),i will most definately go back to the weatherbeetas!!

I love the more expensive Weatherbeetas. Dont like the Landa (cheapest) version, it leaked. However I have a few Arions and Oricans - brilliant rugs. Fits everything, never leak and nice and cosy.

I've got a h/w orican with full neck for my ancient mare. It fits really well, doesn't leak & she hasn't managed to put a scratch on it in 2 winters despite being a rug vandal. Tail flap is generous too & covers the whole ar*e area. If my FALs that I had for my last ISH come up too big on my new ISH (which I think they're going to) I think I'll buy him an orican as well.

i have a full neck weatherbeeta and couldnt be happier with the fit and its durability. i have a horse with a big chest and shoulders and it fits a treat. i would buy another

edited to say ive got a landa (i think) and its never leaked in the slightest

I love the weatherbeeta rugs, find them roomy at the chest and spacious. I have also found them not to rub. They are a bit pricey but good quality and have now lasted me a couple of years.

They're great! I have..I mean my horses have loads and they are nice and deep with a great tail flap, don't rub and don't rip easily! My 2 are a TB and a TBX and the fit on them is great.
