Are you a little OCD about your stable/yard routine?

I was thinking about this while mucking out this morning. I have a very strict routine - always do the same things in the same order and am rather picky about where things go/how things are hung up/put away, etc. Am I weird or just organized? And how about you?

I think being bought a spirit level for Xmas shows just how OCD I am over my banks! And I constantly have a broom in hand... I HATE messy yards!

Anyone ever go and redo beds if someone has done them for you? I've p***ed off so many people by just having to go and redo a bed as banks aren't level, to much bedding on floor, bed not fluffed up.......

I am not so much ocd but very anal about my stables. There has to be huge solid squared off banks, the floor needs to be swept to within an inch of it's life and the bed must be LAID not just pulled down. After fresh bedding goes in it needs to be flattened. It gets commented on that my beds look like I have had the spirit level on them..ha ha

I'm at a private yard and look after the other two horses there as well as my own two, only really one other person there (owner of one of the other horses) who does anything. I'm not so much OCD about routine (don't have one) but more about keeping the place tidy and organised. I hate tools being left out etc and the place not being swept to pristine standards!

I've had a viral throat infection all weekend so been feeling too ill to do much at yard, have only been doing the very basics. Went up today as usual and although I'm still not well I hit the roof at MYSELF for the state of the place lol can't even give myself a break for being ill!

I have an order for doing everything in the stable and yard, routine in which things are done and even down to picking out hooves. I'm the most OCD about the tackroom though - everything has a place. I do a good sort through and tidy roughly once a month and I find it ever so cathartic.

Yes, I'm a little OCD, first thing I do is grab his feed bowl and make up his dinner to soak, then I have to do the hay before I muck out as I cart it around in the barrow, I then get fresh straw, then I muck out, lastly it's water, then bring Ben in, his feed is already in his bed and I always take his headcollar off before he goes in. Then I lift the muck into the muck spreader, go and close his gate, I then go back to Ben, kiss him good night then turn off all the lights. Same every night!
