Are you happy where you keep your neddy??

Yes very, I keep them at my parent’s house. Just my horse, my Mum’s pony (who we look after), and my sister’s horse. No livery to pay, and no one to answer too.

Plus I work there too so see the horses all day long. :D

Love the place. It caters for kids as well, so my children are very happy and we have an indoor and an outdoor school as well as off road riding.

Love my yard, just me and YO, with thousands of acres of off road riding.. :) did move away and was back within 6months... :D

Yep :) It wouldn't suit everyone as is very 'DIY' and things sometimes take a while to get done but nothing ever left unsafe and we have a very happy crowd of horses and humans! The hacking isn't great but put up with that for a total lack of bitchyness and a really friendly group of people with similar views and values without anyone pushy or dominating!

can ayone help??!!
looking for livery in ash, ash green, guildford aldershot area. diy assisted grass livery would love nice school!!! thanks x

yep. have been at my place for nearly two years now. DIY with own paddock each for my two, plus a self contained block of two stables with a very large tack/ feed room and a large area for hay and shavings and the use of a polo size arena. Nice people who own the yard too :-)

I am very happy with my yard. We can do pretty much as we want with turnout, routine etc, there is no hassle over use of the school, my horse has his own paddock with friends either side, the hacking is fab once you get off the main road and the price is reasonable too. Oh and there are no children which I think is a big plus.

Downsides are the main road, although it is wide and straight so not as scary as some narrow lanes I've been on, and not having people to ride with very often.

I love it where I keep my horse,I rent the field very cheap,(almost 4 acres) have it all to myself, the person who owns it leaves me do whatever I want.(friend of the family). So its brilliant. Can do as I please!!!!

Not a bad place where I keep mine, mind you the yard owners are a bit lacking in get up and go sometimes, (have spent the afternoon on HHO and I really must get up and make a drink in a minute :p :D :D )

Very pleased with yard I'm on. My girl is settled, she's got a routine that suits her, the owners and staff are brilliant and the facilities are good. :)The one downside, it's an hour from home. :(

Yes I'm very happy! Both ponies are settled and love their routine, the people are friendly, YO is nice and very active in running the yard. I've been on other yards and this is by far the happiest I have been with my horses.

I'm at two yards and love them both.

My TB is on full livery at a lovely yard where he's really looked after. I have a lady who (almost) full loans him so I only see him once a week or so, but know he is fine. Its got great facilities - 2 sandschools / XC course etc.

My pony is at a lovely yard 5 min walk from home. Its very basic but lovely - and everyone there is so nice. We've got great off road hacking and pony is very chilled there. I love that I can take my dogs for a stroll and go and give my pony a kiss on the nose in the process!!

Love the people not so keen on the yard. Things had reached an all time low with poo filled fields, loads of broken fencing and gates and never getting in the school. Haven't been on the yard much this week just been checking my horse instead (grass livery) and was pleasently supprised today to find proper proceedures have been put in place, fencing and gates fixed and plans to at long last harrow. So i'm not holding my breath but things do seem to be looking up.

Love it simply because its very cheap, but if it wasn't for that then it would not be very good. Been there 19 years now, and have learnt to put up with almost anything that is thrown at us! Hey ho.

no!!!!!!!!!! :D pls help looking for livery ash, ash green, aldershot, pirbright, seale, tongham kinda area all ideas welcomed!!! :)

Yep as it's 12 acres of our own land and a couple of stables and we just have our own 4 horses on it. Would be nice to put a school in sometime though but other than that yep, it's great. I don't think I could afford to have a horse on livery really, well certainly not 4.

oooh yes! partly because the facilities are good (lovely barn with stables, FAB school). partly because the other liveries are really friendly and lovely (there are only a small handful of us) but mainly because i really trust the YO to look out for me and Raff because she has SO much valuable experience and knowledge, and she knows how pathetic i am! i think a good YO makes all the difference.

and the yard is made all the better because Raff is there... :D

Yep! No bitching, my best pals there, group turn out (rare around here!) very child friendly, nice school, lovely boxes, very happy horses! Would love to have light on the school, but to be honest when weighing it up i'd rather stay and cope without them as everything else is great!

Yes.

No rules, I can do what I like, where I like and when I like without curtain twitching or bitching.

Yes.

Been there seven years.

It's 35 acres with only eigth horses, a dozen or so sheep and a few cattle (cattle only there for a few weeks in summer after haymaking) so there is unlimited turn out in large, interesting fields with hills and valleys, spring water streams, loads of trees for shelter and shade, very few people, fantastic hacking, loads of bridleways, Cleeve common only 20 minuets ride away and it's very cheap!

My OH gets paid to do all the topping, rolling, harrowing, fence repairs and hedge cutting there. We also get to make and store hay there which we sell, and I even get to park my trailer in a barn!

Couldn't be happier where the boys are atm :D

Lovely yard with good facilities, lovely friendly liveries and NO bitching........aaaaaaaah bliss :D

just hope the next livery (we have one stable coming up) is nice and doesn't ruin it :o

Ahh your round the corner from me!!! :)

I love my yard and the care that my horse receives :)

Facilities include a large arena that doesn't flood/freeze, all year turnout, horse walker, wash bay (with hot water!), 120 acres on site hacking and loads more TROT rides, plenty of storage, lorry parking, owners and other staff live onsite. Oh and the yard/stables are just one year old and well maintained.

Full livery includes grooming, my horse usually gets bathed daily (he is grey :D), tack cleaned, all handling for vet/farrier, they organise rug washing and little things like that which saves me time.

BD trainer on site who is such a laugh, and as its a small yard he knows each horse individually. No bitchiness, everyone gets on with riding/competing (but we are partial to having a chat while scoffing free chocolate cake also :D)

Oh and we have a vacancy for one sane owner and equally sane horse!

I KNOW!!!! Maybe we could meet up to hack out...I'm looking for sane people to baby sit my baby on the roads (he's 4) and I'm not sure of the area!! :)
